Police said they arrested a man dubbed the Band-Aid Bandit – he had plastered the adhesive patches around his eyes as a disguise – on suspicion of robbing the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 525 N. Brand Blvd. on Tuesday. John Michael McCarthy, 54, of Los Angeles entered the bank just before closing at 6 p.m. and demanded money from a bank teller, reading off a prepared script, authorities said.
